I love when past clients reach out to me for another shoot. It’s like reconnecting with an old friend. There’s a level of trust and comfort that’s already established, which makes the whole experience even more intimate and fun. This particular client had been following my work and had been dying to do a rooftop boudoir shoot. As soon as she reached out, I knew we had to make it happen.
I’ve always been drawn to the energy of rooftops. It’s a world above the hustle and bustle of the city, a place where you can truly escape and let your imagination run wild. The concrete jungle becomes your playground, and the possibilities for stunning photos are endless.
Planning the Perfect Rooftop Shoot
Planning a rooftop boudoir shoot takes a bit more effort than a typical studio session. Safety is paramount, so I always make sure the rooftop is secure and accessible. I also consider the time of day for optimal lighting. Golden Hour is my personal favorite for a soft, dreamy glow, but this session was proof that even under the sun we can get beautiful photos! For what we were trying to achieve, it was the perfect setting to capture my client's natural beauty and confidence.
Boudoir Goddess
As soon as my client stepped onto the rooftop, she transformed into a goddess. The city skyline as her backdrop, the wind playing with her hair, and the way the sunlight kissed her skin – it was pure magic. We experimented with different poses, angles, and outfits, and the results were absolutely stunning.
